APEC: Rant the First

Can I just say that it is an absolute travesty that I am even having to consider whether I should go to protest at APEC or not. The fact that I genuinely need to consider my safety, weigh up whether or not I want to have a place in one of the five hundred jail cells being set aside for the event, is a complete infringement of my civil rights. Not to mention the minor detail that I’ve also been forced to consider that there is a reasonable chance of me getting shot. Shot with the purpose of me being DEAD.

Unfortunately time is not on my side today, so I am unable to truly express all the things that get under my skin about this whole APEC thing, so keep your eye out for my posting on Thursday, where I plan to get into it all in a bit more detail.
