I just read an article in today’s Australian that absolutely pissed me off, no end. How on God’s earth in God’s beautiful country did it come to this. By this I mean, why on earth do seemingly reputable national newspapers print utter illogical prepubescent tripe, in relation to matters of national significance.

Especially when said tripe is uttered by stupid, expatriate Americans, who through the very action of conveying such rubbish, demonstrate, an absolute lack of respect, and understanding for our laws, and indeed the institutions that are charged with maintaining them. Check it out here

If you have read the article then you will know that the idiot, that I am venting all my spleen at or rather about is a despicable piece of work by the name of Phil Burgess, who carries the much fancied title at Telstra, of Public Policy and Communication General Manager. Which just means the man, is nothing but a public relations hack. He actually creates nothing of real value, he does not fix your phones lines, when they crash, or anything related. He gets paid a truckload of money to sit on his arse, and spin the garbage that was printed in that article.

Below is what he looks like. I strongly encourage you to ring up Telstra, and tell him exactly what you think of him, and after you are done there, ring up John Howard, and tell him to grow some balls, and stick it to the Americans.

Little Johnny Howard, can be actually be Big Johnny Howard for once in his life and develop some visionary broadband policy, so that the country as a whole can benefit. The flip side to this, is little Johnny Howard being , who he is, will cave in to Telstra, and its American masters and you and I the taxpayer, will pay an arm and a leg for our slow Broadband services now and into the foreseeable future. These jokers, want us to pay more then $100 plus a month to download movies. My family lives in far north Queensland, and I shudder to think, what they will have to pay, if these turkeys, and a weak John Howard, lets them get their way. You do the math!

Whilst the man above in the picture, together with the other two amigos, will laugh all the way to their end of year bonuses, when Macquarie Bank eventually purchases Telstra. Make no mistake their defence of Telstra’s market monopoly powers, is most probably out of pure self interest. Ask yourself, do they really give a shait about this country?
