Radiohead and a New Paradigm….Bye Bye Music Cartels

I knew it was coming and I was so confident, that I, Dodgypress, could have placed money on it, had anyone been willing to take my hard earned cash off me!!!

All it took was one Band, (Radiohead) Talented enough, Strong enough, and Bloody Gutsy, to back themselves, and Take On the Music Industry Cartels.

Apple and its ITunes store was merely gnawing at the edges, although their product offering, did demonstrate, that given the right vehicle/platform (optimum pricing, convenient download location, intuitive, cool music player) the consumer, would come to the party, and very profitably so.

In-fact you knew the end game was in sight, when the music cartels, started aggressively going after their own customers. What Industry/Business on this Planet, that wishes to remain profitable, goes after its clientele in such a destructive/cannibalistic manner??? Read about it here

Well Radiohead, have showed the rest of the Planet, and indeed the music industry, that, ( the middlemen, global music cartels) are going to die, a very slow and public death. Read it here
