Iemma in Denial..and So is Any Fool who thinks backdoor deals still work in 08

It is now some nearly four or five days, or thereabouts since the NSW State labor conference and the public debacle that it was. The people of New South Wales, the voting populance that is not privy to internal labor party ruminations, finally got to see EVERYTHING. That is we got to see minute by public minute on prime time television the soap opera that was unfolding. And operatic it truly was!!! Morris Iemma, being booed and jeered, Michael Costa, acting like the truculent child doing a very public dummy spit, because the grownups told him that he could not have what he thought was his RIGHT.

And so it was with a little bemused chagrin that, when Dodgypress went to pick up the murdoch press online, today, that he came across this little pebble

Man morris must be reading this constant Idol worship in the Murdoch Press lately, and think, yeh I am one tough dude…hahaha…SORRY morris i hate to burst your bubble but we saw, with our own eyes, you being treated like a patsy by Micheal Costa, on the weekend.He was the puppet master and you were the puppet and the whole of NSW saw it on televison and read about it in the Telegraph the next day.

All one can say about this very sad and very public implosion of the Labor party, is that if the strategists at Labor Party HQ, think that, they can do, VERY PUBLIC backdoor deals on very Bad Public Policy Decisions and Survive in the new millennium, they are kidding themselves. People this is Australia 2008, not AMERICA. The voting public are very with it. Everyone you speak to on the street, whether they vote Labor or Liberal, whether they live in the eastern suburbs of Sydney, goulburn or penrith, will tell you that, THEY DO NOT WANT THE ELECTRICITY PRIVATISED.
