Macarthur Square Experience…

I had a day off work last week, so I decided to hang out with the lads, who also, just happened to be colleagues. We decided that, since I had never really ventured out west before, the lads would, take me out and show me around.

Had a brief look through Campbelltown, Minto, Ingleburn, which I kinda liked and had a reasonable coffee at. All in all an interesting snap shot into how some things are structured out west. T’was a tourist for a day in a very shallow kinda of a way experience.

After trudging through Campbelltown, where I took some pictures, we decided to go, grab a bite and catch a movie at Macarthur Square shopping complex . So we parked the car, went into the centre, up the escalators past the cafes an into the actual movie complex. The boys wanted to see the bra boys, which on that particular day was scheduled to start at 1.30pm, and since it was roughly 12:40, we had lots of time to kill. We decided that we would have something to eat at this eatery, cum cafe/restaurant, called….Panorottis…

We got there, were seated and ordered at roughly 12:45/12:50, or thereabouts, since it was quite literally a few doors down from the cinema. We all decided to have roughly the same meal, which was a lunch special of sorts, and was roughly something akin to fish and ships, with salad, very simple, and we thought at the time, very quick….

Little were, we to know that, this simple meal would turn into a pathetic 45 minute saga. Yes you heard right 45 plus minutes later, there was no meal to be seen. We had a waiter, come up to us roughly twice around the 30 minute mark to say “So…So.. sorry about the delay however, I have spoken to the kitchen staff, and its on its way”.

So come the 45 minute mark, agitation started to build up and frustration, had reached its apex, so we so called up the waiter and in order to ascertain politely, as to what in the blazes was going on with a simple fish, chips and salad meal…

she gave us some dodgy explanation, we mulled it over, and decided Enough was Enough, spoke to the manageress looking lady and exited….

They seemed reasonably quiet on that particular day, However, only the gods know what happens, when they are actually bz!!!
