Telstra Decides What’s Good for Australia, NO UMPIRE (ACCC) Allowed!
Its Official both John Howard and Helen Coonan, have caved into Telstra’s demands and sidelined the Umpire. Australia, wake up to to your self, when it comes down to a choice between saving their own skins, and an actual vision for Australia into the Millennium, guess what Little Johnny Howard, and his incompetent communications minister Helen Coonan, have decided? And you can read it in the pages of yesterday’s Australian newspaper. I have taken some choice bits….below..
“In a letter to staff yesterday, the American import, who has been at war with the Coalition since stepping into the job in 2005, said: “On balance I think this is a good sign, because the Government apparently sees the need to break a regulatory log-jam that is now stopping the deployment of fibre-to-the-node”.
“But Mr Trujillo’s “log-jam” has been created solely by Telstra, which has refused to lodge its prices for the network with the Australian Competition and Consumer Commission. The company has mounted an aggressive - and, at times, insulting - campaign against the competition regulator and its chairman Graeme Samuel. Mr Trujillo confirmed a report published previously in The Australian, that talks with the Government “resumed in March when she (Senator Coonan) indicated to me that the Government would like to take another look at the Telstra FTTN plan”.
Yeh Solly old mate, and pigs actually fly, pull the other one. What do you take us for??? People the time has come when I think we need to take a stand. We need to say Enoughs, Enough! Since when in this country, have we let a couple of self serving muppets, That’s John Howard, Helen Coonan, Sol Trujillo, Telstra’s boss, spin blatant, in your face porky pies, and then to add insult to injury, attempt to steamroll us into paying an arm, and a leg for what should be an affordable piece of national infrastructure. So on top of crazy petrol prices, crazy mortgage payments, these self serving muppets, want us to pay, an extra $100 a month, for something that, according to Telstra’s competition the G9 consortium, should be significantly less.
But hey don’t take my word for it, read what the experts have to say about it, here.
I would love to hear your ideas, on the matter, what can we do about it, start some sort of a campaign, maybe….???? People, I am all ears.
