Was Hoping For Obama…However…

Must say I, dodgypress, was slightly disappointed that my man, Barack Obama, did not overcome Hilary Clinton in at least Texas.

From all reports I knew that Ohio, was going to be a struggle, however to lose in Texas, as well, was not too good. However we live in Hope, so lets see how he fares from here on in.

Was at Huff Post, earlier and this is what they had to say about the latest developments.

It is going to be really gritty footy wrestling type stuff from here on in. Things are going to be tight and possible a whole lot nastier.

   Although being from Germany, I also am very intereted in the US elections, and I also tend to like Obama.

   However, one must keep in mind that he also isn’t a “messias”; for example, some people in his team were main actors in the subprime crisis, and it’s not a coincidence or suprise that Obama managed to gather 55 millions of dollars for his race so far. I’m afraid that even more of this sort of facts will become public as soon as the Democratic race is over and the real opponent turns out to be a Republican (with a plethora of right-wing media and organisations behind and ready for a bunch of smear campaigns).

   Nevertheless, I believe that despite of this, Obama is not only the least of three evils, but in fact I still think that he will be able to make a significant change in US politics. Let’s hope that he’ll be able to maintain the independence and free spirit which he displays so confidently.
